This page gives the late-game route for Ending B. It includes the Chapter II branch choice and the final family sequence. Keep a save before the saw choice if you plan to return for Ending A or the more complex Ending C route.
Direct Answer
For Ending B, give the Real Hand Saw to the Toilet in Chapter II. Later, use the Do Not Enter door, climb through the hole at the cliff, and enter the mouth room through the missing tooth opening. Continue left through the houses and agree to tell Mellow’s little sister a bedtime story.
Before the Choice
Save before handing a saw to the Toilet. The Real Hand Saw sends you toward Ending B, while the Toy Hand Saw is used for Ending A. This is the cleanest point to branch without replaying the earlier areas.
When the story returns you to the bathroom after the area bosses, leave through the hallway and find the Do Not Enter door. The next sections are route-specific, so do not switch to the right-hand mouth-room door used in Ending A.
Ending B Route
- In Chapter II, give the Real Hand Saw to the Toilet.
- Return to the bathroom after the area-boss handoff, then leave for the hallway.
- Go through the Do Not Enter door and open the doors on the path to the cliff.
- Look at the opening above, agree with Tip’s plan, and climb through the hole.
- In the mouth room, use the missing tooth opening rather than the right-hand door.
The missing tooth is the visual confirmation that you are on Ending B’s branch. If the room instead routes you into the Henry fight, reload your pre-choice save and confirm that you gave the Real Hand Saw to the Toilet.
Follow the House Route
After the mouth room, keep moving left until you reach a house. Go upstairs, enter the bathroom, open the curtain, and speak with the character in the bath. Then leave the first house and continue left through the desert to the second house.
Speak with the family in the second house. Go upstairs to the room on the right and talk to Mellow’s little sister. Agree to tell her a bedtime story to trigger the final sequence.
Completion Check
The bedtime-story choice is the final interaction for Ending B. Steam lists the associated ending achievement as Return, although the official achievement page does not explain its trigger conditions.
If you are collecting every ending, return to the save you made before the saw choice and take the Toy Hand Saw branch for Ending A. Keep the deeper area secrets for an Ending C attempt rather than assuming either normal ending completes them.
