This is the full secret-ending route. It includes late-game setup, area secrets, Clocky, and the Surgeon sequence. Make a separate save before advancing out of Chapter I, because you need three area secrets prepared before the final route.
Direct Answer
For Ending C, bring Timesville, Misery Town, and The Office to their boss-ready states, complete the secret route in each area, then continue into Chapter III. Return to Mellow’s room, follow the Clocky encounter through the opening, read the book in the Surgeon’s area, and end the conversation to trigger the Stay ending.
Before You Begin
Do the three area secrets before you finish an area and lose access to its items. Keep a save before each boss handoff and another before the Chapter II saw choice. This route needs more preparation than Ending A or B, so a clean Chapter I save is valuable.
Do not rely on a single area secret. The route needs one secret prepared in each of Timesville, Misery Town, and The Office. Use a separate puzzle guide for the exact interaction inside each area rather than trying to reconstruct every solution from the ending page.
Prepare the Three Areas
In Timesville, the secret route starts with the Fishing Paper and leads through the collection and hidden-room chain. In Misery Town, the secret route uses the cinema’s Metal Detector path and the altered clown-room sequence. In The Office, the route begins with the Telescope/phone clue and continues through the lower-staircase sequence.
Complete these secrets while each area is still open, then advance all three locations to the point where their main boss encounters are available. The required details are intentionally split by area so a single changed puzzle does not make this ending guide unreadable.
Chapter III Route
After the three secrets are prepared and the main route reaches Chapter III, return to Mellow’s room. A Clocky encounter appears at the opening in the wall. Fight through that encounter, then climb through the opening to continue into the Surgeon’s route.
Follow the slope and the small hole until you reach the office room. Inspect the book on the desk before leaving; this is the interaction that advances the ending sequence.
Finish the Surgeon Sequence
When the Surgeon appears, you can ask lore questions or move directly toward the ending. The optional questions do not need to be exhausted. When you are ready, choose Stop asking questions to trigger the final sequence.
The completion signal is the Stay achievement. If the route does not appear, reload the clean Chapter I save and check that all three area secrets were completed before the relevant boss handoffs.

- Save before completing any Chapter I area.
- Prepare the Timesville secret route.
- Prepare the Misery Town secret route.

- Advance the three areas to their boss-ready states.
