Direct Answer
Endacopia's major encounters all share one rule: fighting and skipping give different achievements, so save before each one.
| Boss | Where | Fight → achievement | Skip → achievement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clocky | Prologue (Mellow's house) | Story fight (no pair) | Skipping it is an Ending C requirement |
| Trapezist | Misery Town / Circus | Fatal Performance | Cut The Act (cut the rope with the Scalpel) |
| Genesis AI | Office Core, 2nd floor | System Override | Short Circuit (pour water on the circuit) |
| Chameleon | Chapter III | No Strings Attached | Case Closed (dialogue route) |
| Henry | Mirror world | Story fight on the Ending routes | — |
Combat basics that apply everywhere: hold M2 to block (move the mouse to match the attack direction), watch your stamina, and counter with M1 when the enemy leaves an opening.
Clocky — the Prologue Fight
The clock blocks your path after you learn the Cheshire password. Six rounds of block-and-counter end the fight. Punch only when Clocky leans forward and laughs; punching tired gets you punished.
Ending C runners: do not fight Clocky at all — give the toilet the password Cheshire immediately and skip the encounter. Details in the Ending C guide and the Clocky boss guide.
The Trapezist — Misery Town
The circus boss is the first fight/skip pair:
- Fight and win → Fatal Performance.
- Skip by cutting the rope with the Scalpel (reward from the Whack-a-Clown puzzle) → Cut The Act.
Full fight breakdown: Trapezist boss guide.
The Genesis AI — Office Core
The Core on the second floor of the Office is the second pair:
- Fight the AI → System Override.
- Skip by pouring water on its circuit → Short Circuit.
One community-reported catch: the Office secret route can auto-resolve the AI without granting Short Circuit. If you want the achievement, do the intentional water skip from a clean save. (community-reported)
The Chameleon — Chapter III
The late-game pair:
- Fight and win → No Strings Attached.
- Skip through the dialogue choices → Case Closed.
Keep a Chapter III branch save so you can take both outcomes.
Henry — the Mirror World
Henry is the story fight on the saw-branch routes (the bat encounter). He has no skip pair, but the route through him differs by ending. Full breakdown: Henry boss guide.
How to Know It Worked
- Each pair half pops its own Steam achievement — check after every resolution.
- If the wrong half unlocked (or none did), reload the branch save and verify whether you actually fought or skipped.
- For 100%, you need both halves of all three pairs across saves, plus the Clocky skip for Ending C.
Quick Checklist
- Prologue: Clocky fight (or skip for Ending C).
- Misery Town: Trapezist — Scalpel rope-cut = Cut The Act.
- Office Core: water on circuit = Short Circuit; fight = System Override.
- Chapter III: Chameleon — dialogue skip = Case Closed; fight = No Strings Attached.
- Save before every boss; both halves need separate runs.
